チェスターフィールドコートはビジネスの冬の装いには欠かせないものですね。わたしは、ビジネスシーンだけでなくてカジュアルスタイルにも使っています。ただ、カジュアルにも使っているのは王道のネイビーではなくてブラウンのチェスターフィールドコートです。
A Chesterfield coat is an essential part of winter business attire. I use one not only for business occasions but also for casual wear. However, the Chesterfield coat I use for casual wear is not the classic navy color, but a brown one.

ブラウンはジジイ向けの色と思われているようで、日本では若い方が使っているのをあまり見かけませんが、秋冬には装いを楽しめる色なのでおすすめです。欧米の街角の人々の装いを紹介する「The Sartorialist」をみていると、素敵な装いをしている人を発見できます。ちなみにですが、2011年ごろ、わたしが電通マンだった時代に The Sartorialistのスコット・シューマンさんを紹介するYouTube動画「The Sartorialist in Tokyo」をプロデュースしました。よかったらご覧ください。
Brown seems to be considered a color for old men, and in Japan, you don’t often see young people wearing it, but it’s a color that you can enjoy wearing in the fall and winter, so I recommend it. When you look at “The Sartorialist,” which introduces the outfits of people on the streets of Europe and the United States, you can find people who are dressed nicely. ブラウンはブルーとの相性が良い色なので、ブルーデニムと合わせるといい雰囲気になります。
