The jacket I’m wearing today is a ready-made item from Eral55, a select shop in Milan.
実は、このEral55のジャケットはほぼ未使用品といって良い程度の良いジャケットを古着屋さんで発見したのです。
In fact, I found this Eral55 jacket at a second-hand clothing store, and it was in good condition, almost unused.
Eral55は、ストラスブルゴでヘンプ（大麻）素材の渋いスーツを買ったこともあり、その良さは知っていたので即決で購入しました。売れ残ったのがわたしの手元にやってきたわけです。
I bought Eral55 on the spot because I had bought a cool suit made of hemp material in Strasbourgo and knew how fabulous it was. The unsold items ended up in my hands.
トラウザーズは、Beams別注のオーベルジュのチノパンです。多分、デザイナーの小林さんがヴィンテージのチノパンを研究して復刻したものかなと思います。シルエットやコットンの質感が素晴らしいです。
The trousers are Auberge chino pants custom made by Beams. I think the designer, Mr. Kobayashi, researched vintage chino pants and reproduced them. The silhouette and the texture of the cotton are wonderful.
靴は、雨の日なのでJohn Lobbのバロス。今は廃番になっていて入手できませんが、とても良い靴です。Openersの記事には2015年に復刻され、完売したとあります。
For shoes, it’s a rainy day, so I’m wearing John Lobb’s Baros. These shoes are now discontinued and are no longer available, but they are very good shoes. The Openers article says it was revived in 2015 and sold out.
傘は紳士の傘として名高いBriggsの一本木で作られた傘です。木はメープル素材です。この傘は、10年以上前に購入したものです。一度修理に出しましたがとても愛着が持てる素晴らしい傘です。
The umbrella is made from a single piece of wood by Briggs, which is famous as a gentleman’s umbrella. The wood is maple material. This umbrella was purchased over 10 years ago. I sent it in for repair once, but it is a wonderful umbrella that I am very attached to.
Briggsの傘は2024年5月時点でサイトで433ポンドの価格がついています。今日のレートが１ポンド195円なので85,000円と高価です。わたしが買った時は5万円でした。
The Briggs umbrella costs £433 on the site as of May 2024. Today’s exchange rate is 195 yen per pound, so it is expensive at 85,000 yen. When I bought it, it cost 50,000 yen.
