レザージャケットは良いものを手に入れると、一生愛用することができます。レザージャケットで「良いもの」と言えるための条件は、次の３つだと思います。
If you get a good leather jacket, you can use it for a lifetime. I think there are three conditions for a leather jacket to be considered “good”:

私が愛用しているレザージャケットは、2010年に今は無くなってしまった東京のタイユアタイ青山というメンズショップで販売されていたもので、靴職人のヒデタカフカヤさんによるものです。
The leather jacket I love is one that was sold in 2010 at a now-defunct men’s shop in Tokyo called Tie Your Tie Aoyama, and was made by shoe artisan Hidetaka Fukaya.
彼は元々、靴職人になる前はファッションデザイナーを志していた方でもあり、わたしには職人というよりアーティスティックな印象があります。そのデザインもクラシックでありながらユニークで、彼が作った靴は一眼見ただけで、彼のデザインであることがわかります。私自身、彼のレディメイドの靴も愛用しています。
He originally wanted to be a fashion designer before becoming a shoemaker, and to me he seems more artistic than a craftsman. His designs are both classic and unique, and you can instantly tell that his shoes are his own. I also love his ready-made shoes.
このレザージャケットは、先ほど挙げた３つのポイントを兼ね備えています。上の写真を見ていただければわかるかもしれませんが、まず、使っているレザーは、極上のシープスキンです。このレザージャケットを着て銀座のFENDIに妻と買い物に行った際には、店員の方から、「素敵なレザージャケットですね。どちらのものですか？」と聞かれたほどです。
This leather jacket combines the three points mentioned earlier. As you may be able to understand by looking at the photo above, first of all, the leather we use is the finest sheepskin. When I went shopping with my wife at FENDI in Ginza wearing this leather jacket, the store clerk asked me, “That’s a nice leather jacket. Which one is it?”
このレザージャケットの縫製工場がどこかはわかりませんが、10年以上愛用していますが、ほぼ購入した時の状態から縫製の状態は変わっていませんから、かなりレベルの高い工場で仕上げられたことがわかります。縫製のレベルについて、購入する際の判断基準としては、やはりそのブランドへの信頼に委ねるのが一つですが（エルメスなど）、エルメスのようなラグジュアリーブランドのアイテムではない場合は、店員の人に聞いてみるのも良いと思います。それなりのお店なら、どこで縫製したかはわかっているはずです。
I don’t know where this leather jacket was made, but I’ve been using it for over 10 years and the stitching hasn’t changed much since I bought it, so I can tell that it was made in a high-quality factory. Regarding the level of sewing, one of the criteria when making a purchase is to leave it up to your trust in the brand (such as Hermès), but if the item is not a luxury brand item like Hermès, I think it is a good idea to ask the store staff. If it’s a decent shop, they’ll probably know where it was sewn.
このレザージャケットはKITONなどの最高のクラシックアイテムを取り扱うタイユアタイ青山が販売していたアイテムですから、イタリア老舗レザー工房のSchiatti &C.で仕上げられたものかもしれません。わたしは、タイユアタイ青山が扱っていたSchiatti &C.のレザージャケットも愛用していますが、それとこのレザージャケットは同じ質感を感じるからです。
This leather jacket was sold by Tie Your Tie Aoyama, which handles the best classic items such as KITON, so it may have been finished at Schiatti &C., a long-established Italian leather workshop. I also love the Schiatti &C. leather jackets sold by Tie Your Tie Aoyama, and this leather jacket has the same texture.
そして、デザインですが、このレザージャケットは、米陸軍航空隊が採用したレザージャケットであるA2フライトジャケットのデザインをベースにしたものなので、クラシックで普遍的なデザインです。ミリタリーテイストがありながら、武骨ではなくてエレガントな雰囲気を醸し出しているのが素晴らしいです。
As for the design, this leather jacket is based on the design of the A2 Flight Jacket, a leather jacket used by the US Army Air Corps, so it has a classic and universal design. Although it has a military taste, it is wonderful that it exudes an elegant atmosphere without being rugged.
でも、残念なのは、このHidetaka Fukayaのレザージャケットはもう販売されていないということです。でも、１点だけ、2026年3月1日時点で私が愛用しているのと同じものがヤフオクにあるのを見つけました。価格は¥298,000となっています。2010年当時の販売価格は、¥252,500だったので、定価より高いのが難点ですが、サイトの写真を見る限り、状態はとても良いので、サイズが合う方はご購入をお勧めします。でも、今このレベルのレザージャケットは、40万円ぐらいしても不思議はないので、希少なヴィンテージアイテムではあるかもしれません。私自身、もし、色違いのものだったら購入したいと思います。
But unfortunately, this Hidetaka Fukaya leather jacket is no longer on sale. However, as of March 1, 2026, I found the same item that I love on Yahoo! Auctions. The price is ¥298,000. The selling price at the time of 2010 was ¥252,500, so the drawback is that it is higher than the list price, but as you can see from the photos on the website, it is in very good condition, so if the size fits you, we recommend purchasing. However, a leather jacket of this quality now costs around 400,000 yen, so it may be a rare vintage item. Personally, I would buy it if it were in a different color.
